Heatherwick’s call to action

Brilliant!
Whether you love the work of Heatherwick studio or not, it's hard to resist Thomas Heatherwick's call to action on humanising construction and buildings. For many years we have struggled with developments that lack human-scale detail, and Heatherwick again made a compelling case - this time at the start of bodw 2024 here in Hong Kong.
Heatherwick uses examples of places I love to visit, and have written about, such as Coal Drop Yards in London and Little Island in New York, to demonstrate his case.
Even his points on lift buttons remind me of advice I have given over the years to many people who are designing or renovating their own space - if you touch it everyday (door handles, taps, light switches, etc.) - go and choose them yourselves, otherwise you will be unhappy with the result. https://humanise.org/
